Welcome to The Collector's Eye, operated by Authentic Solutions LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using this website or purchasing The Loupe, A Closer Look or any other service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase our services.

1. Who We Are

The Collector's Eye is a membership and education platform for collectors of fine watches, jewelry, and art, offering written opinions, educational content, and related services through thecollectorseye.ai.

2. The Loupe, A Closer Look

The Loupe, A Closer Look is a paid, written opinion on a single watch, jewelry piece, or artwork, based on photographs and information submitted by the client, delivered within 48 hours of a complete submission. The price, currently $65, is set at the time of purchase and may change without notice for future orders. There is no subscription or ongoing commitment attached to a Loupe purchase.

Refunds: Once a written opinion has been delivered, the service has been performed and the purchase is not refundable. All payments are non refundable.

3. No Professional Relationship Implied

Purchasing The Loupe, A Closer Look or engaging with our content does not create an appraiser client relationship, a fiduciary relationship, or any form of professional advisory relationship beyond the specific written opinion purchased. See the disclaimer below for what the opinion is and is not.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, images, and the written opinions we produce, is owned by The Collector's Eye or used with permission, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written consent. A Loupe opinion is licensed to the purchaser for their personal use (insurance conversations, personal decision making, sharing with family) but remains our intellectual property.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to submit fraudulent, stolen, or misrepresented items for evaluation, not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, and not to attempt to resell or redistribute our written opinions as your own work product.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

This site and our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Collector's Eye and Stacey Holzer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or our services, including decisions made based on a Loupe opinion. Our total liability for any claim related to a specific service is limited to the amount paid for that service.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

The Loupe, A Closer Look: What This Opinion Is and Is Not

This section exists specifically to protect both you and your clients by being clear about what they are paying for.

What it is: The Loupe, A Closer Look is the professional, written opinion of The Collector's Eye, operated by Authentic Solutions LLC, on a single watch, jewelry piece, or artwork, based on the photographs and information provided at the time of submission, informed by the current market, and information available at the time of submission.

What it is not: The Loupe, A Closer Look is not a certified or formal appraisal, and is not prepared to meet the standards required for insurance scheduling, estate tax filings, legal proceedings, or charitable donation documentation. It is an informed opinion, not a credentialed appraisal document. The informed opinion is based on fair market value. Fair market value is the fair price of an asset for a willing buyer and seller. Supply and demand, economic factors and buyer sentiment can all influence fair market value. Fair market value fluctuates with current market value, time and various external conditions. The given opinion is an opinion valid as given at the time of service rendered and can change either for or against the owner of the item without any notice.

No guarantee of value: Our opinion reflects professional judgment based on available market information at the time of review. It is not a guarantee of what a piece will sell for, what an insurer will pay out, or what any third party will agree it is worth.

Based on information provided: Our opinion is based entirely on what is submitted. We do not physically inspect the piece unless a separate, specifically arranged in person evaluation has been agreed to at an additional cost. Undisclosed damage, undisclosed repairs, or misrepresented details may affect the accuracy of our opinion, and we are not liable for inaccuracies caused by incomplete or misleading submissions.

Authenticity: Where our opinion addresses whether a piece appears authentic, this reflects professional judgment based on the information available, not a certification or guarantee against fraud, and should not be the sole basis for a high value transaction without further due diligence. The Collector's Eye is not liable for any transactions that occur based on our stated opinion.

Conflict of interest: On occasion, Stacey Holzer may have personal interest in purchasing a piece she has evaluated through The Loupe. When this occurs, the written opinion is always delivered first, independent of any purchase interest. Any interest in buying the piece is disclosed to the client separately and afterward, and the client is under no obligation to sell to us or to accept any offer made. Clients are always free to use the written opinion to insure the piece, or simply keep it.
